Private Investigator Bursary

National bursary competition for academic year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Each scholarship will provide £1,000 to assist one student undertaking a full-time course (BTEC Level 3 and above).

The award will be made to the individual student for one year only.

What is This Scholarship?

We have a huge interest in the education of the next generation of private detectives and investigators and as we have a commitment to helping others we are offering one student a monetary award to assist with their education.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants are required to be studying for a BTEC Level 3 or above
  • Applicants are required to have firmly accepted their offer of a full-time place
  • Applicants must be registered with the university by the 31st October 2014 for the bursary 2014/2015 and 31st October 2015 for the bursary 2015-2016.

A panel made up of private detectives and investigators will meet in early November to consider who the scholarship will be awarded to.

Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminology and Police Science, Forensic Crime Scene, Digital, E-Crime, Cyber Crime, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Analysis, Crime and Investigative Studies, Criminology and Sociology, Law, Psychology and Criminology, Policing, Law and Investigation.

Applicants that meet this criterion are invited to submit a 200 word statement titled "How The Private Investigator Scholarship Will Help Me" via the below form.

    A northeast London borough of London is the London Borough of Waltham Forest (/ˈwɔːlθəm/), England. Formed from the municipal boroughs merger of Chingford, Walthamstow, and Leyton, in 1965 was the borough; from Waltham Forest – a south-west Essex institution which managed deer, it took its name. Markedly different from that on the far side of the Lea, where the Area that is Built Up of London extends much further, stretching further north by several miles, beyond the Greater London boundaries itself, was the pattern of expansion in what became the Borough of Waltham Forest.

    One of the host boroughs of the London Olympics in 2012, with part of the Olympic Park of Queen Elizabeth and the Tennis and Hockey Centre of Lee Valley providing a legacy that is ongoing, was Waltham Forest. The area experienced at least two raids of Zeppelin, now known as Waltham Forest. Airship L10 took a route following the railway line of Gospel Oak to Barking, dropping bombs that were high-explosive and incendiary, on August 17/18, 1915.

Waltham Forest, historically known as the seat of the Arts and Crafts Movement under William Morris' stewardship, has continued to succour many art groups & artists that are contemporary.
